As a 43 year old millennial mom of 3 boys I’ve hiked, biked, scootered, chased, climbed and more in this past decade+. If you’re like me, pregnancy left you with different feet than you had in your younger adult years and keeping up with active children means having the right footwear. I’ve struggled over the years with plantar fasciitis, tendinitis in my foot and ankle issues. I’ve had to come to accept the fact that fashionable footwear is not always going to be an option for me in this phase of life with 3 active boys!

Summer in North Carolina brings incredibly hot days coupled with unpredictable rain showers. Our day could start out at a park, lead to a creak where we are likely to get our shoes wet then back to an ice cream shop before heading back home. Covering the same amount of steps on various types of terrain that my normal neighborhood walks do! 

In the summer my sneakers are just too hot and I hate getting them wet, flip flops are not supportive enough so I’ve time and time again been purchasing Teva sandals.
